The Dynamic Dummy Image Generator creates placeholder images to your specs for use in simple design work. Just add dimensions to the base URL to create a gray placeholder images to your specs. Above, the cunningly named http://dummyimage.com/425×350. Lifehacker called it “lorem ipsum” for images.
I’m not sure how often I’d use this (most design-centric layout programs have this function built in), but I like knowing it’s out there if I need it.
